Plumbing Isn’t Always Pretty — But We’ve Got It Covered!

We recently got a call from a longtime customer and well-known community pastor about a whole-house stoppage at his home. What seemed like a routine visit quickly turned into a real-life plumbing puzzle.

During our first visit on January 23, the symptoms looked fairly standard: toilets weren’t flushing, but the kitchen sink was still draining. Our technician, Dylan, headed out right away and discovered the septic tank was completely full. Since septic pumping isn’t a service we offer, we connected the homeowner with a trusted septic company and followed up the next day. At that point, it looked like everything was back to normal.

But plumbing likes to keep us on our toes! On January 28, the pastor called again—despite the septic tank being serviced, drainage issues were still hanging around. That can happen after a full tank, but this one clearly had more to it.

Mr. Elvis was on-site early that morning and found the kitchen sink and master shower lavatory still draining slowly. After a little detective work, he uncovered the culprit: a clogged 2" drain line at the septic tank. A quote was provided to clear the mainline stoppage, approval was given, and work began immediately.

Once the cap was removed, our drain machine went to work clearing out heavy grease and sludge buildup (not glamorous, but someone’s gotta do it!). Afterward, all fixtures—including the kitchen sink, master shower, and lavatory—were tested and happily flowing again.

Fun plumbing fact: this home actually has two separate exit points—one 2" line entering the septic tank separately from the 4" toilet drain. It’s a bit unusual, but the home is located in Wilson Neck and was built in 1978, when plumbing liked to do things a little differently.

Yulee has grown a lot over the years with Wildlight and new communities popping up, but older plumbing systems can still surprise you. No matter the age of the system, we’re committed to figuring it out and keeping our neighbors worry-free.

Below are a few photos of the not-so-pretty side of what our team tackles every day. Please note that drain stoppages are the only service we provide that do not carry a warranty. We can’t control what goes down the drain or the condition of lines we didn’t install—but rest assured, if roots or damaged waste lines had been found, we were fully prepared to jump into action.

From clearing roots to replacing waste lines—and yes, even pumps and filters—we’re truly your one-stop shop for all plumbing needs.

Don’t wait for a small issue to turn into a big mess. Give us a call today!
